Develop Housing Affordability & Fight Displacement
Wall Street shouldn’t own our neighborhoods. I’ll fight to limit corporate ownership of single-family homes, build more affordable housing for low income neighbors, prevent the displacement of long-time residents, and expand real homeownership opportunities for working families. Others may talk about housing, but I've spent my career working to solve housing issues.
Expand Access to Reliable Transit
Our district has some of the highest transit needs in Georgia - yet some of the worst transit access. I’ll push for faster, more reliable MARTA service, fight for long-overdue state funding for transit, and finally deliver the sidewalks, street lighting, and safe crossings that keep our families connected and safe. I've been rated a Pro-Transit Candidate by Beltline Rail Now.
Improve Public Education and Support Our Teachers
Strong schools make strong neighborhoods, and families in our communities know the value of great teachers. I’ll fight for higher teacher pay, better school facilities, smaller class sizes, and the resources our students and educators deserve, while expanding trade programs, technical education, and re-education opportunities so every student and adult has a pathway to a good career. As the son of a public school teacher, I know firsthand the pressures our educators face.
Broaden Healthcare and Restore Reproductive Rights
Every family deserves affordable, high-quality health care - including the freedom to make their own reproductive decisions. I’ll fight to expand Medicaid, protect community clinics, strengthen mental health services, and repeal Georgia’s abortion ban so women can make these deeply personal decisions with their family and their doctor, not politicians.
Ensure Voting Rights and Access To The Ballot
Our communities have faced years of unfair roll purges, closed polling places, and laws designed to make voting harder. I’ll fight to reverse those tactics, strengthen early voting access, and guarantee voters are notified before being taken off the rolls - because every voice deserves to be heard. After Donald Trump's raid on the Fulton County Elections office, we need fighters who will push back on the subversion of our democratic rights.
Build on Public Safety & Rebuild Community Trust
Every family deserves to feel safe in their neighborhood, at school, and on their way to work. I’ll push for community-centered policing, invest in youth programs and job pathways that prevent crime before it starts, and improve lighting, transit safety, and flooding infrastructure so that safety is built into every part of daily life.
Invest In Infrastructure and Level The Playing Field
Flooded streets, broken sidewalks, and failing infrastructure have put too many families at risk for too long. I’ll push for stormwater relief, invest in green infrastructure, and ensure every neighborhood has safe sidewalks, broadband access, and the basic infrastructure other communities take for granted. I'll also push back against data centers receiving tax breaks and building in urban areas.
Create An Economy That Leaves Nobody Behind
District 62 has incredible talent, creativity, and potential - but too many opportunities pass our communities by. I’ll fight for living-wage jobs, small business investment, workforce training, and economic policies that lift up historically under-invested neighborhoods.
